These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PointsMax (the “Service”), operated by Nathan Jones (“PointsMax,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service.

2. What PointsMax Is

PointsMax is an informational tool that estimates and compares credit card rewards based on the spending information you provide. It helps you explore which combination of cards may suit your spending patterns.

3. Not Financial, Tax, or Legal Advice

PointsMax does not provide financial, tax, legal, or credit advice. All output is for general informational and educational purposes only and is based on assumptions and the data you enter. We are not a financial advisor, broker, lender, or credit counselor. You are solely responsible for your financial decisions, and you should consult a qualified professional and review each issuer’s official terms before applying for or using any credit card.

4. Accuracy of Information

Card details — including rewards rates, annual fees, signup bonuses, and benefits — change frequently and may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. Some data is compiled with automated tools. We make no warranty that any information is accurate or current. Always verify details directly with the card issuer before applying. PointsMax does not include all available cards or offers.

5. Affiliate Relationships

PointsMax earns compensation from some of the card issuers and affiliate networks whose products appear on the Service. This may affect which products are shown and how they are presented. See our Advertiser & Affiliate Disclosure and Privacy Policy for more.

6. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful or fraudulent purpose.
  • Attempt to disrupt, reverse engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service.
  • Scrape, copy, or resell the Service’s content or data without permission.
  • Misrepresent your identity or interfere with others’ use of the Service.

The Service, including its software, design, and content, is owned by PointsMax and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial purposes.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any estimate will match your actual results.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PointsMax and Nathan Jones will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, savings, or data, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on its output.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PointsMax and Nathan Jones from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Illinois.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
