Advertiser & Affiliate Disclosure
Last updated: June 8, 2026
We believe in being upfront about how PointsMax makes money. This disclosure is provided in the spirit of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC) guidelines on endorsements and affiliate advertising.
How We Make Money
PointsMax is an independent, advertising-supported service. Some of the credit card offers that appear on the site are from companies and affiliate networks from which PointsMax receives compensation when you click an “Apply” link and are subsequently approved for a card. These links are marked as outbound apply links and may be tagged with rel="sponsored".
How Compensation Affects What You See
Compensation may influence which products appear on the site and how and where they are presented (for example, ordering or placement). It does not influence the recommendation engine’s math, which is based on the spending information you enter. PointsMax does not include every card company or every available offer, and the offers presented are not exhaustive of all products in the market.
Editorial Independence
Our recommendations are generated from your inputs and our optimization model. Affiliate relationships do not change the underlying rewards calculations or which card is mathematically best for the spending profile you provide.
Not Financial Advice
Nothing on PointsMax is financial, tax, legal, or credit advice. Card terms — including rewards rates, fees, and signup bonuses — change often and should always be verified directly with the issuer before you apply. See our Terms of Service for full details.
